Chad: Federal Workers Receive Advance for the Holiday

This July, in an unprecedented act of good will, the Transition Prime Minister Pahimi Padacké announced an advance of federal worker’s salaries for the Month of July.

Federal Employees are rushing to the banks after Pahimi Padacké’s surprise announcement on the 14th saying that all Federal Employees would receive an advance of July’s paycheck. This surprise action brings relief to many families struggling with extra holiday expenses. The Eid al-Adha or ‘Tabaski’ can be a significant drain on a family’s income with the expense of the sacrifice and holiday foods and preparations. This move by the Government may serve to eliminate some of that stress and is an unprecedented display of good will by the authorities.
