Wakit Tama plans anti-French march on July 16

On July 12, Wakit Tama held a press conference, announcing their plans for a peaceful march on Saturday, July 16. The march will be protesting French policy in Chad and the Transitional Military Council’s inertia.

“With Wakit Tama, we are resuming with our demonstrations and we are planning a march on July 16 to denounce French policy in Chad and the inertia of the Transitional Military Council (TMC),”

Wakit Tama also notes they hope for a favorable response from the Minister of Public Security.

“We are not going to postpone the marches indefinitely, especially since they are making no effort to improve things.”
