Ndolembai Njessada Released After 18 Days in Prison

N’DJAMENA, CHAD–“The Transformers” President Succes Masra was there to meet Ndolembai Njessada on his release from Klessoum prison Monday, where he has spent the last 18 days on defamation charges brought against him by a former employee in 2019. The Chadian opposition party says 7 law firms were employed to secure his release.

Ndolembai Njessada was placed under arrest on December 16th (2021) for charges brought against him by Mbaississem Djekoundamti, who says Ndolembai defamed him when Njessada’s lawyers claimed Djekoundamti had been accused of rape. Mbaississem says these claims “[attack] his honor and dignity”. When previously contacted, Mbaississem’s lawyer’s declined to comment due to the active nature of the case.

Succes Masra greets Ndolembai Njessada on his release from Klessoum prison.
