Medical Students at the University of N’Djamena are protesting, claiming 33 months of scholarship arrears.

Since Wednesday, Medical Students from the University of N’Djamena have been protesting in front of the General Inspectorate of the Ministry of Finance, these students claim the government is 33 months behind in paying scholarships, money they say the government promised to pay them on the 21st of this month.

According to participating students, the ad hoc crisis committee met with the minister of finance last Friday, they say he promised payment on the 21st, but with Tuesday come and gone the medical students are less than happy. No doubt they are hoping to be paid before the holidays and the end of the year.
