Chadian Arabic Bible dedicated in Bitkine

Recipients enjoy a copy of the Complete Bible In Chadian Arabic Credit: SIL Chad, June 10, 2021

On December 28, 2021, a dedication service was in Bitkine, Chad for the Chadian Arabic Bible. The full Bible translation was completed in 2019, and some of the first copies arrived in March 2021, though the Bibles weren’t available until April of this year. There have been several dedication celebrations around the country.

“The project, which spanned 25 years, culminated in the arrival of some 21,000 printed copies this past April. “

Wycliffe Bible Translators

The new complete Chadian Arabic Bible comes in two versions, Roman, and Arabic script. A free android app is available for both Roman and Arabic script versions, making access to the complete document free and accessible to people all over the country.

In Bitkine, the ceremony was held at the Al Tatawwur center, with several government officials and other guests from the Guéra. Pastor Adoum Djimtoloum said that “This dedication helps us to approach the diversity of languages and cultures in our churches in a way that strengthens the identity and dignity of all. ”

For the Bible says: ‘That at the name of Jesus every knee may bow in the heavens, on the earth and under the earth. And let every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.’ Philippians 2:10-11″

The dedication of the complete scriptures follows the completion of the New Testament several years prior.
