This Friday Chad’s Transitional Military Council President, Mahamat Idriss Deby, met with Ms. Najat Malla M’Jid to discuss Children’s Rights and combating violence against minors.

Dr Najat Malla M’Jid

“The Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in charge of the issue of violence against children”

from Morocco and a specialist in Pediatric Medicine and Children’s Rights, traveled to Chad to “encourage” the Chadian authorities in their efforts to promote Children’s Rights. She and the current head of state allegedly discussed the promotion, protection and defense of a child’s rights and the implementation of future laws to protect those rights. It seems the two did not discuss unborn children’s rights or abortion laws.
