On the morning of October 29th, 2021, two criminals robbed a woman of her personal possessions in the vicinity of the US Embassy in N’Djamena, Chad.

An eyewitness report says Chadian police positioned to guard the United States Embassy opened fire on two thieves near the US Embassy in N’Djamena, located next to the Chagua Circle. After Embassy guards fired shotgun rounds towards the robbers, the thieves took off on foot with the security forces in hot pursuit. However the police soon returned to their posts while the perpetrators — armed with knives — retreated to a safe distance and taunted the police, daring the police to come after them. It is unknown whether the police fired live rounds at the criminals or simply fired blanks, but it seems the robbers were unhurt. We have no word on the whereabouts of the criminals or whether or not they were apprehended by police.
