Four Kidnapped In Mayo Kebbi West For Ransom

Around two o’clock on the morning of the 7th five armed men broke into a house in the village of Zavou. They immediately abducted four men from the canton of Lamé and headed towards Cameroon. After negotiations, they released two of the men, chained the other two, and moved into a forest near the border of Cameroon.

The two victims who have not been released yet are Liheunbo Ernest and Padeuh Emmanuel, who is the father of 8 children. Locals indicated that the victims that are still being held for ransom have some corn in their store rooms, possibly motivating the kidnappers to hold them for a higher ransom.
