CTDDH Calls for Mobilization in Support of Ibedou

This Thursday morning Mahamat Nour Ibedou was summoned by the Judiciary Police, sources close to Ibedou expect his referral to the public prosecutor regarding defamation charges. Mahamat Nour Ibedou is a Human Rights activist, political figure, and part of the Wakit Tama coalition, he is also Secretary General of the CTDDH Human Rights Group.

Comrade Mahamat Nour Ibedou, Secretary General of the CTDDH has just been summoned this morning by the coordination of the judicial police. In the following minutes, he will be referred to the prosecution of the N’Djamena High Tribunal. Let us mobilize to give it our support.

The Defamation charges come due to a complaint lodged by the Minister Of Security, concerning statements Ibedou made about the wellbeing of Prisoners of War.

It is likely that there will be protests in the capitol in the coming hours.
